Another puzzle piece? I don't know. Lately I seen a few company trucks often gathered at a trackside structure. I use to never see anything parked there until a couple weeks ago. Within the past few days I've heard chatter about the railroad having an office in town.
At the 4th street yard on the south side of the tracks behind the chain link fence at Bulk Transfer. It is a small 1 or 2 room white stucco building about 20 feet from the house track, the railroad recently installed a UP shield above the doorway. The building looks like it might have been left over from the Southern Pacific days, any idea what it could have been used for back then?

GP60's are showing more often then in the past. All of the SP and SSW unpatched locomotives that were based in Phoenix/Tucson are now gone and have been retired, or renumbered.
The LKK48 no longer goes to Phoenix, It seems to have a pretty full day out here so it only goes as far as the siding in Cashion by Greer's Potato Shed and picks up the cars the LKK49 leaves there.
The LKK48 goes out to Dixie about 2-3 days a week right now, looking at the length of tracks on the property I'd expect them to get long grain shuttles (soy based chicken feed) soon.
The length of the LKK48 is usually longer nowadays because of the extra work at Western Milling and Hickman's Egg Ranch.
Western Milling does get 100 car Grain Shuttles w/dpu (corn) from Nebraska. The LKK48 also sets out and picks up a few cars a week from there. Western Milling has purchased a trackmobile to move cars around.
